Description:

A stellar panel of women in geekdom will discuss their own areas of pop-nerd culture as well as ideas about how librarians can reach out to the geeks in their community through science, comics, STEM and technology, and pop culture and fandom. Libraries have long been a haven for people who consider themselves outsiders and “niche” interests can give librarians an avenue to reach out to those patrons and show them that there is a thriving community of people with similar interests in everything from superheroes to fan-fiction, from squishy circuits to cephalopods.
